The Pharisees (v.39) held a deep respect for what they called their “Oral Tradition.” Belief in resurrection was a late arrival in Judaism. Deu 25:5 If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no son, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.
Deu 25:6 And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not blotted out of Israel (Revised Version).

THE CHILDREN OF MEN VERSUS THE CHILDREN OF GOD IN HEAVEN
Luk 20:34 And Jesus said unto them, The sons of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
Luk 20:35 but they that are accounted worthy to attain to that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage (RV).

We as Children of men have desires. We have desires simply because that is how God created us. He created us with senses. Sense is “any of the faculties, as sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch, by which humans and animals perceive stimuli originating from outside or inside the body” (Dictionary.com). Henry believes that:
The children of this world are dying and going off the stage, and therefore they marry and give their children in marriage, that they may furnish the world of mankind with needful recruits, that as one generation passeth away another may come, and that they may have some of their own offspring to leave the fruit of their labours to, especially that the chosen of God in future ages may be introduced, for it is a godly seed that is sought by marriage.

The children of God in heaven cannot die any more; and this comes in as a reason why they do not marry. Henry says, “in this dying world there must be marriage, in order to the filling up of the vacancies made by death; but, where there are no burials, there is no need of weddings. This crowns the comfort of that world that there is no more death there, which sullies all the beauty, and damps all the comforts, of this world. Here death reigns, but thence it is forever excluded.”

One day I was waiting for a call on my cellphone. The whole day had gone and he did not call, so I decided to call and look what I found out. My phone’s battery was drained. Oh! That’s why nobody can contact me likewise I cannot contact anybody. So what I did was I grabbed my phone cable and plugged it to the wall socket, and I waited for half an hour and presto, my phone was energized and it was like new! That’s a symbol of resurrection. If we are connected with Jesus, with God, we don’t worry about the future, the death, since God of the living is the God of resurrection!
(Let’s have a simple dynamics here. You may close your eyes this moment to make this effective)
